Recently Watched Anime: Full Metal Panic

Full metal Panic is a series I felt was well balanced as far as anime shows go. I don't usually enjoy mecha anime's but I found this one to be an exception mostly because a friend kept bugging me to see it back when it first came out. In fact he went through the trouble of buying me a copy of the first DVD so I had no excuse not to watch it and sure enough I did enjoy it. The mecha part of the series is downplayed to make room for the antisocial school endeavors of our main antagonist trying remain inconspicuous but failing on a daily basis. To summarize it, the series is about a teenage soldier who is given the task to protect the life of a teenage girl who's subconscious is full of top secret scientific data(best way I would describe it). The problem is however, our soldier boy (Sagara Sousuke) has no social skills whatsoever and so hilarity ensues. However, the series does takes a serious turn after the first few episodes but still reverts back and forth in a well paced manner and keeps itself from getting too dramatic. I won't go into too much detail over it because I seriously recommend it to anyone who wants to watch a good comedy/action series. It's currently available on Netflix via streaming along with the second and third season of the series with the second season focusing more on Sagara's interactions with normal school activities. For those that don't have Netflix, Funimation's Youtube channel also has the episodes online for free. So go check it out, I'm sure you won't be disappointed.
